  • We are pleased to present Judith Rodriguez, PhD, RD, FADA, LDN, American Dietetic Association President, as the event's keynote speaker! Dr. Rodriguez will inspire us to take charge of our own leadership skills to maximize our career potential with her talk, "Leadership From Within".
  • We will also welcome Katherine Tallmadge, MA, RD, ADA National Spokesperson and DCMADA President-Elect, who will help us develop media and advocacy skills to promote the role of the registered dietitian in First Lady Michelle Obama's "Let's Move" campaign. Ms. Tallmadge will highlight strategies for messaging and working with the media, as well as ways in which we, as DCMADA members and registered dietitians, can advocate for own profession.
  • In addition, Jeanne Blankenship, Vice President of Policy Initiatives and Advocacy at the American Dietetic Association, will be describing the role of the ADA and DCMADA in the First Lady's "Let's Move" campaign.
  • Finally, you will learn how you can get involved in important DCMADA programs including the 2011 Board of Directors election, upcoming awards and scholarship opportunities, and grassroots policy initiatives.

We look forward to an invigorating day of inspiration and guidance to enable us all to maximize our leadership and career potential!
